About Faso Sanu
Faso Sanu is a non-profit empowering young Malians through quality education, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Our mission is to equip young Malians with the tools to succeed in their journeys and create innovative solutions for the betterment of their communities. We envision a society where youth have equal opportunities, leading to a better quality of life and active roles in shaping their nation's future.
Our Programs
Our main initiatives—Neba and Jigiya—are designed to empower Malian youth through a fully funded scholarship, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities.
Neba Scholars
In Mali, only 30% of youth at the DEF level successfully pass the national exam, limiting their opportunities for higher education and future leadership. Neba is changing this narrative by offering comprehensive scholarships from 9th grade through college, empowering students to thrive academically and personally. After four years, we partner with universities to provide subsidized placements, ensuring continued access to quality education.

Our pilot program, launched with 15 students across Djenne, Selingue, and Kita, achieved remarkable success—boasting a 93% pass rate for the DEF exam, far exceeding the national average. This long-term, holistic approach to education is a proven investment in the future leaders of Mali
Jigiya
The Jigiya program bridges Malian professionals with youth in both Mali and the diaspora, creating a reliable and empowering mentorship network. Through this program, students gain direct access to inspiring leaders worldwide via a leadership development series designed to broaden their perspectives and sharpen their skills. Jigiya helps these young leaders define and refine their goals under the guidance of dedicated mentors.
​​​The pilot phase will kick off with the first cohort of 15 Neba Scholars in Mali, marking a significant step in empowering the next generation of Malian changemakers. Through mentorship and leadership opportunities, Jigiya offers students the tools they need to thrive and make a lasting impact in their communities.
